Humans are creatures of habits, and it is natural to want to stick to what we know. Today, I want to challenge you to get out of your comfort zone and try something new. Maybe it feels a little uncomfortable or unfamiliar, but you will never know what is out there if you don’t try! Here are a couple of tips on how to switch it up!
Approach fear
When fear is the one stopping you from doing something new, don’t wait for fear to find you, you need to find fear. Making a commitment to conquer your fears by doing the thing that you dread. Even if it is in baby steps move towards it. Eventually, your fear will cease to exist.
Give up control
As much as we like to be in control or think we are, life will take you where it wants to. Instead of constantly going against the grain, just go with the flow. You might just discover that the path life decided to take you wasn’t so bad after all.
Switch it up
The best way to get out of your comfort zone is to switch up your daily routine. If you’re an introvert and you prefer spending your evenings at home, maybe you could switch it up by going out of a stroll in the park. New experiences will keep you fresh with new perspective.
Talk to a stranger
If you’re an introvert, this is an awesome challenge! I personally love meeting new people because humans are fascinating creatures. I love learning about other people’s thoughts, cultures and lives. It’s a great way to learn about the world.

I strongly believe that is not easy to plan anything in life because there's always some mess around. Life is random and usually doesn't go according to the plan. So people that are addicted to their comfort zone are less resistant to changes. Tho, the comfort zone means something different to all of us. To me, as a traveler and expat, meeting new people, challenging new situations, changing places is something normal, I do it on daily basis. And this life style has become somehow my comfort zone. So now I'm getting slowly slowly out of it by leaving my single life, sharing my days with one more person, taking care not only of me, going for compromises and so on. I cannot change myself in one day. Getting involved in a relationship, first time from a very long time, is a big challenge for me. I wish you all good luck in your getting out of comfort zones. And thank you @karensuestudios for sharing this post :)
aww thank you for your wonderful comment. I'm glad you are pushing yourself to get out of your comfort zone... that is the only way we can grow :) Thanks for that.

For me, being on Steemit and publicly expressing myself was a big step out of my comfort zone! The funny thing is in real life, I'm actually pretty extroverted, I love meeting new people, and love having conversations with pretty much anyone. But on social media, I'm quite the opposite, and tend to keep my thoughts/opinions to myself (like on Reddit, I was mostly just a lurker for years).
So when I found out about Steemit, I took it as a great opportunity to spice things up, and try it out, because I definitely needed a good change in life! Thanks for your post :)
aww good for you! :) Thanks for sharing your story. I've found the Steemit community to be very supportive and a safe place to share your thoughts and ideas freely! Enjoy! :)

I got out of my comfort zone on my vacation last week. When i tried floating on the beach facing up the sky.
Because honestly i really don't know how to swim! LOL! ^u^
OOOOO how fun! good for you trying out something new :) I love to swim, and floating is so relaxing!
Teach me master, teach me how to swim! And advance more in yoga too. ^o^

You are so right. But it's sometimes really a challange, as you said. Especially when you are getting older, I feel like you got stuck more and more in habbits!
Thank you for sharing this, and steem on :)
As you get older you just get use to what you know. BUT if you keep changing it up, it's not so hard!
Yes it is like exercising a muscle. The more often u do it, the easier it gets :)
hehe couldn't agree more. Thanks for the thought!
