Pokhara Street Festival A Hub For Celebrating ENGLISH NEW YEAR.

Lakeside comes alive with a festive spirit during this annual event (28 December to 1 January), when the main strip closes to traffic as restaurants set up tables on the road. Visitors cram the street to enjoy food, parades, performances and carnival rides. Visit Pokhara and enjoy Pokhara Street Festival.

The Pokhara Chapter of the Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN) organised the street festival pokhara with the slogan of "Eat on the Street, Dance on the Street and Enjoy on the Street" along a three-kilometre road stretch. Especially relevant is the festive mood of the people during the festival. The Pokhara Street Festival stresses on food items, music and cultural programme.

Pokhara Street Festival aims to promote domestic and international tourism in Pokhara. It is organized to develop Pokhara as a hub to celebrate Christmas and the English New Year. Most of the entrepreneurs offer discounts on their menu and for hotel stay. The restaurants that are operating on the road are from along the Lakeside. Local people also organize cultural programmes on the road stretch from Hallanchowk to Komagane Park prior to inauguration of the festival.
