LOVE ATTITUDES PART 3

in #love7 years ago (edited)

And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again I will repay thee. Luke 10:35

For the past two days, we've been looking at certain acts and attitudes we ought to potray when walking in love just like the good samaritan did. First of all we learnt to take initiative when reaching out to people and secondly, to show genuine care for people and to minister the Spirit unto everyone in need.
However, there are times when all our care and assistance is not enough to actually help the individual. In such cases we ought to do as the samaritan did and commit the person unto a higher power. With the good samaritan it was the inn keeper but with us, it is our heavenly Father. When we pray concerning them, we are placing them and their conditions in the hands of God with the hope that things will get better. Contrary to what many think, prayer is not useless; neither is it the least you can do for a person. In fact it is one of the best things you can do for a person when you consider the one you are praying to. You are not praying to an abstract god who may or may not be able to do something about the problem. You are praying to a very real God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think (Eph 3:20). So do not just leave a person when you have said all you can say or done all you can do to help. Your job as a Samaritan is not complete until you have committed them into the hands of God in prayer.

It totally makes sense when we lift our burdens unto our Lord. He has the power to overcome all no matter the situation. Nice piece man.

Prayer indeed holds the key to everything @asarefrederick

We need not to get tired of praying
