Canary Islands (Loro Park)

in #loropark7 years ago

The island of Tenerife , the largest of the Canary Islands , is a real paradise for tourists. It is warm all year round, the coasts are famous for both clean sandy and pebbly beaches, and lovers of evergreen nature and coniferous air can go to the mountains. But not only because of this, people from all over the world come to rest there. This resort is known for a special attraction - "Loro Park" !

Interestingly, "Loro" in the name of the park means "parrot". And indeed, "Loro-Park" is a real kingdom of parrots. On the territory of the zoo, they live about four thousand - and this is more than three hundred different species and subspecies! There is something to be proud of, is not it? It's easy to guess that this is why the parrot has become the park's logo and now it looks at tourists from anywhere, starting from the airport premises and ending, of course, with the park itself.

However, do not think that the whole "Loro-Park" is filled exclusively with tropical birds. Imagine, here live more than six hundred penguins! Yes, the workers of the park tried and arranged for them a piece of snowy Antarctica on this hot summer island; and in order to maintain habitual habitat for penguins, fifteen tons of snow is brought to the park every day. Admire the charming penguins through thick glass, which encloses their enclosure, while a special mobile band slowly takes you through the reserve.

On penguins, the miracles of Loro Park do not end there. Here they found the house two real gorillas. Interestingly, these males were brought to Tenerife from various European zoos for the sake of experiment: in their native flocks they could not become leaders, so they settled them here to observe the behavior. Gorillas miraculously live together; However, it is still not clear who is the leader of them.

Thus, if you are going to relax in the Canary Islands , be sure to visit the "Loro Park" of the island of Tenerife. You will not regret it!
