Last month I undertook the walk of Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman from Rock, North Cornwall, and to his grave in the churchyard of St Enodoc Church. Along the way I stopped and photographed this 4 mile walk with a Lomography Lomokino 35mm Movie Maker.

For those of you who do not know anything about this camera or about shooting film, it takes 35mm roll of film and a 36 exposure film cartridge will give you approx 144 exposures. The camera has three apertures f5.6, f8 and f11. The shutter is 1/100th of a second and the frame is 24mm x 8.5 and cranking the camera you expose about 3 frames per second.

Post Production:
I developed the AGFAPhoto APX 100 Black and White film in my darkroom / shower ;) using Nucleol BF20 and a Bellini Black & White Film Developing Set. Scanning in the five rolls of film took some time, each image on the negative was cut by hand and placed into individual folders which I then imported, frame by frame, and edited in Premiere.

Using archive audio material of Sir John's own recordings, along with a wild-track recording from the day was the final task of this production. This is the teaser for the film, while the actual two minute film is being entered into the festivals.
