Steem User Loan: $50 for @ausbitbank (Repaid!)

in #loan8 years ago (edited)

Loaning Steemit.com user @ausbitbank $50 worth of BTC to his address 17bUE4t6sw378sK6gj5YkHtpjq5xjeirGJ due back as $55 of BTC/STEEM/SBD to myself on or by April 3rd, 2017 to help him get out of bind he is in. Sending the BTC once he agrees to the terms in this post.

If you're late on the repayment your owing amount gets increased by a whole dolla ($1.00) daily.

Using the STEEM blockchain for accountability and to make the loan publicly known.

@ausbitbank has repaid this loan within 6 hours of taking it out.. Thank you sir!

Sort:

Deal - I also powered down for the first time to cover repayment just in case.
I'll cancel and power back up if I can make the funds on steemit in the meantime :)

Funds received: tx

I've sent you the amount agreed upon in the terms above. Proof on BTC Blockchain

Safe travels sir. Hopefully things get sorted out for you and the rest of your cruise goes well.

Where is a WHALE when you need one???

@htooms lets get this post to fund this $50 loan...

we already at $10 rewards

:D

Who knows how much will be STEEM in 13-week but nice experiment.

Watching this.

In the near future one may even be able to do this without ever having to touch a wallet to send. ;)

psst. VIVA. check out the stuff @williambanks is doing.

Starting to think this could be the case.

I think we should add this type of feature to the future Steem blockchain feature set. A twist on online payments that could help draw users. Ready for another project for the list?

Oh gosh if I had the time or manpower to code half the ideas I've had with STEEM we'd take over the BTC market cap within 5 years.

You da best

if we pool all the ideas we have we'd be there in 2 :) are you up for that :)

With SP delegation you could lock SP into escrow as collateral.

I like this! How useful blockchain technology can be!

Truly remarkable the possibilities.

It really is! My mind is so active thinking of all the possibilities

Very cool... I could totally see "small short term loans" as an actual feature on Steemit.

I was in a position to help him and hopefully it makes his day easier and can get a tire rolling.

Good to see Steemians helping each other out when in need. But, I don't think it was really necessary to broadcast it. @ausbitbank can clearly be trusted, and if in the odd circumstances that he did fuck you over, it would have been on the blockchain for you to go public at that point.

Blockchains are amazing though, eh?

Awesome community and the blockchain tech keeps everyone accountable. :)

This post already covers almost half the loan anyways...

Had smooth upvoted instead of flag we might have been able to just call it even from the post alone.. lol!

find a different angle, write another piece and you are all set. lol.

Well.. looks like this post itself will pay for the loan.. half of it at least.. @ausbitbank you shoulda posted lol

Post was just made for public record of the loan.. lol!

Yea i understand but he coulda had this half way paid.. maybe something to consider with the mentioned project idea

Yes. Once again i understand that.. I'm pointing out something that might be something to consider if this "idea" of community help is explored and developed. Geez

watching this ...nice deal btw... lending with an intrest rate of almost 700%/year ;)

Never was much of a bankster type but I figured a dollar a day penalty would be enough to deter him from lengthening the loan term. :P

Loan Shark... or is it now called Loan Whale?

WOW!

A dollar a day penalty...

OUCH!

Nice, kyle ! :)

Cool EXPERIMENT!!!

:D

I think it would be nice to do P2P loans with all financial flows tracked on the Steem blockchain. I've written down a simple procedure for this here

There sir I lend you 50$, I make 50$ for announcing it. That was epic!

it would be cool if you took some of this post reward and sent it to @ausbitbank... just saying thats all :)

This is awesome. I love to see people helping each other! This is the kind of stuff that will bring you good karma :)

thanks information..
@klye

Any idea how to buy BTC in Croatia? Coinfy shut me down while they check if I am a terrorist.

Check out localbitcoins.com sir... I have no idea to be honest. Good luck!

Interesting, thanks!

Voluntary interaction at it's best!

Only on Steemit does a post make the same amount of post rewards as the loan announced in it.

yeah tell me about it, can you loan me 10k :) maybe the price has to go at 2$ :D ok how about 100 :D that wuld be a nice payout :D
