Florence: Magical City Lives and Reminiscences

in #live7 years ago

Florence, the capital city of the Tuscan region, is a fascinating and historic city with a name called art and culture, with the Arno river divided into two, as it is one of the cities where the Renaissance was born. Before entering Florence, we went to Michelangelo Square and looked up at the city. The first time we saw it in this square, we saw a naked statue of David that we would encounter almost everywhere. It is very nice to look at the scene from this square; because it is possible to see all the places to be seen from the top. Arno River, Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge), Duomo, St.Croce and so on. Then we go across and look closely at all these works.

Santa Croce Church seen in the photo below. In the early Renaissance period, there were graves of 274 famous people like Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo. Walking from the wide square of the church we arrive at the Duomo Square.

We did not go out; but it is also possible to go up to the top of the dome and look at the elevation of the city. Opposite is the Baptistery with white and green marbles, octagonal structure and famous doors.

Florence is a truly enchanting city with its historic buildings, works of art, street painters painting in its squares, the atmosphere of the river, bridges and culture.
