Martin Luther King Jr. was an evangelical pastor, activist, defender of racial equality in the United States of America. Today, January 15, it would be his 89th birthday. He was killed when he was 39, a victim of racism and intolerance.
On August 28, 1968, during the March in Washintong for Work and Freedom, King delivered his famous speech "I have a Dream" considered the best speech of the twentieth century and one of the best in history, where he talked about the the need to establish real equality in the United States, as promulgated by the Constitution of that country, because while racism existed blacks would never really be free: Empowered people highlighted and repeating that they should move forward, they could not go back , and that they were not alone, that they had each other and together they could achieve whatever they set out to do. Then, he promulgated the climax of the speech, "I have a dream," where he exposed how he visualized the future of equality, especially in the south of the nation, where racism was strongest.
Then I leave this last fragment, transcribed from the original audio of the speech.
