Throughout his childhood George always thought he was cursed. Many bad mental pictures could come up from his head which made him more and more convinced that he was a loser. At his school he could imagine himself being bullied by the other students and guess what, that happened. Can we blame him or the society he grew up in?
When he was six a fellow classmate at school told him ''you can't do anything better than me, I am better through and through''.A girl named Gina also told him he was ugly and he believed it. How could he not believe it, these words where coming from the beautiful girl who could leave tingling sensations on him whenever they accidentally touched each other.
The verbal attacks he had became a reality throughout his teenage years, throughout college and even at work. The pain had become unbearable like he had always walked with a hurting pebble or sharp pin in his shoes throughout his life. A childhood belief had made him unhappy throughout his life. He didn't understand why it had become like this for all his lifes thirty five years.
Feelings of loneliness and paranoia haunted him like evil spirits. Fear, anxiety, loss, anger, hate, jealousy all dominated inside him. Like a baby who is never touched his soul was dying, there was no faith in life for him and everything and everyone in this world was just against him.Remember this is the guy who had no friends, never felt what kissing a woman felt like and never saw himself doing anything successful.
But however although these feelings where part of him he was a man all in the society believed to be a success. Through his motivation to be ''better than others'' he had achieved so much. From an Ordinary Level student to Advanced Level then proceeding to a Bachelors Degree, Masters in Business, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) until he attained the Professorship title early his thirties. Hes was hero to many but the mental pictures and feelings of defeat were compressed in his mind more than the layers of a flake pastry.
Some part of the society had told him the most educated are the most happy people so he worked for his titles in order ''to impress others'' so that at least maybe one day a beautiful woman would fall in love with him. Its not to say the guy was a nerd robot but just he lacked the social skills. His deep unbearable negative feelings came to him not because he liked it but because of the unreachable goals in his life. Deep deep inside his heart he wanted a woman to ''love him'' and to ''gain some recognition'' in all he do.He was a nice guy not a good guy and we know nice guys are always victims.( N.B Nice guys are not appreciated in this world because they do things to impress others so that they gain something).
Having had such a life of deep pain which resulted in less self-expression George thought he had to make a decision. He wanted that magic formula that would cure his problems. The hole on his heart was so painful. He asked himself why he had failed to achieve what his classmates had because he saw them better than him. He had the physical things that showed one was successful outside but he lacked the feelings of happiness, love and recognition.
To solve this George searched for people who could heal him and give him his fantasies. At 35 he thought he had possibly lived half of his life in pain given that he didn't expected to live up-to his 70s. He went to the counselors and tried all kinds of therapies and yes it was working but not that much. Witch doctors gave him the fantastic magic pills but it wasn't working the way he wanted.
George traveled all over the world looking for solutions to heal him but it was not going well at most until he went to see his grandfather who he had not seen for many years. He was happy to see his grandson again and gave him some advice on how to deal with his problems. Before he told him the solution he told him ''my son I have one song/poem that makes me feel positive inside and you have to memorize it to deal with your problems and here it is'':
Only warriors win these battles,
Whilst cowards lose them.
To go high you have to think high.
I mean you have to love yourself,
For others to have respect for you
I am not talking of being egoistic,
But of real humble confidence.
Stop trying to impress others by what you have,
They may praise you but don't be deceived,
Because 10 in million like you, others may envy you.
So why try impress those who dislike you?
One can't have one without the other.
So why not inspire yourself daily early in the morning?
You say your life tastes like lemons
But why not make a delicious juice out of it?
But if if you dislike it rebuild it.
Work for it and make it a bed of roses!
Any way life is meant to be enjoyed.
Whatever way you choose to deal with them is powerful.
Ignore them and succeed for ignorance is bliss,
But take their opinions as facts and fall forever.
Choose supporting friends but be strong yourself.
So make it the best and ideal life.
You cant be like them if you don't do as they do.
I don't mean their world appearance but intellectual view.
Greatness is coming to you soon but only if you choose it.
To lose or be great for you are the author and CEO.
To decide your way or get someone decide it,
Better decide than to never at all.
There is no magic pill in life so act!
Choose to be better than yourself yesterday.
Don't make your silly opinions factual.

Nice job bro
Nice post and poem!!
The beginning of the post attracted me to read, I love your words. I'll follow you.
I needed to read this today, so Life conspired to have me find it today. Life, I've learned, is like that. Wise ... but sneaky. This notification is late for many reasons. I won't bore you with them. Then again, maybe you needed to find this today yourself. Life's ways ... they are mysterious.
This excellent post was included in our new curation effort The Magnificent Seven -- a collaborative work by @enchantedspirit and @catweasel. Normally, you would have received a 100% upvote from each of us to show our appreciation for your post, but as I said, I was late to arrive. Too late to vote on this post and make it count. So I voted 100% instead on your poem about Jealousy. That way we're even. (You can go ahead and check me on it. I don't mind. I always make sure things work out fair. Especially when it's my fault.)

We appreciate your support both for our work on this project and for the other creators of exceptional content who make it all possible. (Follow @catweasel to catch our future Magnificent Seven posts. He's really not as annoying as you might think. <--- He always makes me say that. But he is. He really is. Totally.)
