RE: Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

in #life7 years ago

Stadia I've visited (not that many, but a few):

Spotland - Home of Rochdale AFC.
Anfield - Home of LFC
Old Trafford - The toilet
St. James' Park - Home of Newcastle United (just outside - I lived opposite the ground)
Shin-Yokohama stadium (venue for the WC final 2002 - which I didn't attend - and the Ireland vs Saudi Arabia group game which I did attend)
Miyagi Stadium - to watch Turkey eliminate Japan from the 2002 WC.

I have a proud 100% record for attending Anfield. Been three times. Seen three victories (two of them extremely important in Liverpool's great history).

Sort:

oohh Zool237 it's really cool hear to you!
that's so many differents stadiums. i'm so happy you bring good luck to Liverpool

Didn't say anything about bringing luck to Liverpool, did I? ;)

First time I went, August 1990, first game of the new season, home to Aston Villa. We won 2-1, it was marvellous.

HOWEVER, before kick off, the team paraded the league title trophy around the ground. They'd won it earlier that year, in May, you see.

We've not won it since 1990.

The other two games:

Liverpool 4-0 Burnley - Yossi Benayoun hat-trick. Sept 2009 Premier League. Nothing came of it.

Then there was the Olympiakos group game - Dec 8, 2004 - when we came from 0-1 down at half-time to win 3-1.

Went on to win the ECL that season! ;)
