Have you ever seen the Bible with your own eyes? Christ considered themselves to be God, not a mediator. Christ is literally God, according to both the Bible and New Age interpretation of it.

What punishment? I am not aware of any Punishment. Of course I know the allegations made by Paul after they saw Jesus' ghost (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_the_Apostle#Conversion), it's just that the Bibile is not my only source of information about God.

But despite the sin and horror in the world, God sent his only son to walk among us, to take our burden of sin and to take the punishment of our sin on our behalf so that we can be born again and reconciled with God.

I already understand it from John 3:16. God is basically blackmailing you into believing this stuff or else you will be tortured forever. I am pretty skilled in interpreting the Bible.

Whatever you rationale is for torturing people, torturing them without a good reason is never a good thing. I don't know why you are trying to convert me. I am not that kind of guy who fancies torturing people without a good cause.

This is not a matter of obtaining "personal gratification". It is a matter of the understanding that through the tremendous love and grace of God we have been reconciled with God through the Lord Jesus Christ, and recognising that as the ultimate truth.

And doesn't it give you any gratification to think about that?
