RE: How will the overwhelming discovery of extraterrestrial life affect our lives and beliefs?

in #life6 years ago

Given my personal belief of EvoKreationism (which I really should get around to finally explaining), I have no doubt whatsover that both alien species and alien gods exist. As to whether or not they visit us? I don't really care. I know that magic is absolutely real, though poorly understood.

The real question isn't whether or not there is alien life, because given the laws of physics, life is practically inevitable, under the right circumstances. The survival of that life, to a level at which it could possibly start interacting with other solar systems, is by no means guaranteed; or even likely. The jury is still out on whether or not higher reasoning functions will drive the human species to extinction, for instance. There have been thousands of wildly successful Earthly species that were so good at devouring their environment that they eventually starved to death, due to geographical isolation.

Humanity will probably shit it's collective pants for about a week, then go back to arguing on Shitter; because stupid.

Hello @yestermorrow

EvoKreationism? I must google it!

Evolution and Creationism? Together! That's awesome!

It's good to know that we share the same belief

I guess there's no better description

I'm glad you took the time to stop by
