RE: How Much Sleep Do You Really Need?

in #life7 years ago

First of all, I don't think this subject is dull. How can you spend doing something one third of your life and not be interested in it? :P
Besides, does anyone else find it hilariously sad that even though, it's pretty much common knowledge that you need at least these 7 hours of sleep for your organism to function well AND the recent healthy lifestyle craze, our economy highly values people who decide to sacrifice their sleep time for work time?
I don't own a buisness, so I might be just an armchair expert right now, but i feel like that mentality is incredibly short-sighted. A healthy and happy employee is less likely to suffer from burnouts or even lack of motivation and finding someone suitable for the job is not that easy of a task either. Why not let people live healthy lifestyle and have a good employee for years, instead of shuffling through dozens of people within the same timeframe because they cannot keep up with the work overload?
