RE: # Dear Steemian, What Do You Think Can Be Done To Beat Depression?

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Hello @adsactly,

This is really a good question you have asked. I have been looking for somebody to ask this question in a while now.

For me, the way a person can beat depression is by eating healthy, like natural foods like vegetable.

One should cut down on their intake of refined sugar. For me i used to suffer from depression, but when i reduced completely my intake of refined sugar and refined food generally i noticed an improvement in my mood. I felt better and my depression left.

If you notice people in the village areas are less likely to report on depression than people living in the urban areas, this is because people in the villages eat more of natural food and so they don't usually have problem with depression

But depression is found more in people living in the urban areas and it is because they eat more of refined food like sugar.

Even studies here and there has shown that intake of refined sugar causes depression.

There could be other causes of depression, but i know that refined food can cause a lot of depression, if not even it is the main cause.

So again healthy eating can beat depression. You can do a research on healthy eating.

Sugar is definitely my Achilles heel. Had a sweet tooth since birth I think.
