Great story. I think we are about the same age. I started riding at 13 a Honda 50, then moved up to a honda 125 elsinore. My friend had a Harley and the first time he let me ride it, I was 15, I went around the block in first gear stomping and lifting the brake pedal wondering why the dang thing wouldn't shift. So I can relate to your Brother-in-laws embarrassment.
