I've never had a pet, but I know of many who are quite fond of theirs and it's never an easy experience when one passes. I have some friends who within a matter of months have watched their dog die, and then a fish who had managed to survive various accidents and tragedies. Now all they have left is their cat, and I understand that at least the dog won't be replaced. Not sure what they're doing with the big fish tank they have.
My dad didn't allow pets in our house until I left. Then my sister collected a couple of stray cats and they became a permanent fixture until they died. Both my wife and oldest son are allergic to pet dander, but we never tried to find something that might be hypoallergenic. The problem always was, someone needed to feed and clean up after the pet, and while it might be for the boys, they weren't proving to be very responsible with other things, so what would that mean for a pet, a living, breathing animal that would require, care, attention and love?
Thanks for letting us meet Piper.
My wife has a lot of allergies. No long hair cats allowed. That's how we ended up with a Yorkie. Supposed to be like human hair. Folks got me a dog when I was in oh probably 1st grade. We were buddies. Then I had a few hunting dogs in high school. Had a Shih Tzu. He was very cool. One of my fav was Butch the Cocker Spaniel. He loved it out here at the farm. They've bred the nose out of them, but he loved to hunt rabbits. Wasn't worth a darn at it but he had a blast!
But there will never be another lil Ms. Piper. She was quite the special little girl. er um I mean Queen of the Universe she was!

Oh how blessed you were indeed. We have a couple fur babies. Spoiled little brats that we adore.
P.S. Hubs is the guilty spoiler 🐶
Probably not so spoiled they can stamp their foot and make a person get up out of their comfy chair, walk all the way to the frig and get some ice cubes for her water! haha Now, THAT is spoiled rotten!
No foot stamping but if anyone has ice cream they jolly well better put a dab in the food bowl.
WHAT!?! I can't believe I didn't get my picture with that little plea bag. I was amazed at how smart she was with only having a brain the size of a pea. Makes you wonder about some people having 100 times bigger brain
She definitely had you wrapped around her little finger. haha
awww, what a little cutie! There's a one-pound hole in your life with her gone, but many pounds of memories.
