However the vision of AI here is fairy tale.
You should check out @dana-edwards posts on what AI really looks like.
General purpose AI is not really a solvable problem with technology that we have now or in the foreseeable future.
The best we can hope for is a lot of very limited systems that do task specific things and perhaps an "conductor" to orchestrate the myriad of systems.
However there is a concept in information theory called "Phi", and without a high level of that, you cannot get anything approaching the sort of AI you're talking about. But that requires a massive number of parallel high speed interconnects, fast processors and most importantly the ability to "think" rather than compute about a problem. This is more of an analog task than a digital one. Although there have been recent advances in "gels" that are capable of things like image recognition.
