Having a big family is not new in our community. Each family's children will range from 8 to 12 or more than that. Well, isn't it surprising? Maybe for you , it's a yes. On the other hand, believe it or not we are really 12 siblings and i'm the youngest
among them.I have 6 sisters and 5 brothers and mostly our avarage age gap is 2 years.
We're from a family of farmer. Due to my oldest sister helped to my parents, they survived all the problem they've encountered. To make the story short, I'm a little bit lucky because of my oldest sister sacrifices. Before, they can only eat once or twice a day and I never experienced that. Being the 12th child, is not easy as what you think. Yeah, maybe a little bit lucky. Having a big family is sometimes great but is not that easy. It's not peaceful and there're no more closeness in each other. Conflict between siblings is common to us and sometimes it's getting worse.
Because of we are so many in the family and our income is enough for our daily needs, some of us didn't finish high school and college. During my high school days, I did my best to finish high school and probably can proceed college. In the age of 14 and i'm 3rd year high school by that time I've been working partime in my sister's restaurant as a witress and cashier. During weekend , i'll go to the city to work and study during weekdays. My sister taught me on how to earned my own money in my early age. By that way, I didn't ask any money from my mother because I earn enough money to support myself and study. On the other hand, after I graduated from high school I have 50/50 chance of continuing my studies but luckily I got a scholarship and enrolling myself in an accountancy program without telling my parents. I just tell them after I enroll and they were afraid if they can support my studies. Therefore, I continue my partime job and to have pocket money for myself. I go to school during the day and work at night. Probably, I only sleep 3-4 hours a day. In my last two years of my studies , I quit my part time job and with the help of my other sister I finish my degree. She supported my studies because I didn't sustain my scholarship.Having a big sisters is one of the perks of being the youngest. Being the 12th among the siblings is great because you're their little baby. I have someone to asked if I need help. But there's always a pressure because of my older sisters and brothers expectations.
