My First Accidental Investment

Crypto has changed the way I thought the earning was and so far I am experiencing new changes in the crypto world. I was always looking for an opportunity where I can invest my savings with the chances of growth. Last year, when one of my clients made a payment in EOS coin, that is how I was introduced to crypto, the coin was EOS and the exchange was Bitfinex.com

Though I was reluctant to take the payment as I didn't know about the digital payment and how I am going to get the cash in the end when needed. But as the client has no other option left for me and was not paying for a long time so I decided to take the shot. If I am not wrong it was Aug or Sept of 2017 when EOS price at the bottom. I didn't know about the EOS technology and what it brings to the table, I was just happy that at least I got my stuck payment.

Later that month, I saw my payment diminishing to 90% then 80% in the same week, it was stunning for me how quickly I was losing money. I touched my client and told the situation, it was he who said to me that is the future coin and going to grow exponentially in the short run. He replied that this is normal in the crypto market but at that, for me, this was not normal.

I was keeping an eye on the price and in next 2 days my investment was facing a 30% loss, that was the time when I decided to sell EOS and convert it into USD by accepting a 30% loss. That was the day when EOS bottomed out (please ignore date months I might have missed them) and started growing and the world saw an enormous and continuous growth of EOS from 0.5 USD to 18 USD.

I was watching EOS growing daily and was regretting on my decision but I took this as learning and again made more losses out of this learning hahaha. As was unable to saw any coin growing this was in which I had invested. After one and a half year, I am a different trader now and I have made policies in order to control my emotions so that I can make some $$$ rather than jumping in the sea without judging its depth.
