Be a resister, but don't resist everything.

I resist things that make me uncomfortable, or things I don't agree with. And in some areas of life this is a good thing, but sometimes it's not.

It's not good to resist everything that is uncomfortable or that you don't agree with. Sometimes you have to roll with the punches and do your best. Sometimes you have to compromise with loved ones. Sometimes you can't change a situation and resisting is a waste of energy that could be spent making the best of the situation.

I resist change, but some changes are good!

I resist discomfort, but some discomforts and necessary, especially in helping you grow.

I resist what I don't agree with, and while I know that this can definitely be a good thing depending on the circumstances, there are so many times when I should respect other people's opinions and not let them concern me or bother me (unless it is a situation that is doing harm to me or my family, of course).

But I DO want to resist darkness, and what I believe to be wrong. I DO want to resist the bad in this world and fight for what I believe.

I want to learn when to fight and when to relax. When to resist the situation, and when to roll with it. I don't want to be an all-or-nothing resister.

Blessings!

don't resist... come to butthead!

sorry, I couldn't resist, so I just let it "flow naturally forward"... love the "stubborn" donkey pic too! lol

Haha, so funny!

Wise words

In other words......"Let it be, LET IT BE, let it be, let it be"

Yes, exactly. :)

Injustice must always be resisted, but many other things are better left ignored. Some conflicts should be sidestepped, and sometimes one needs to change because one is in the wrong. Other times, there may be no definitive "right" or "wrong" answer at all.

I completely agree with you!

It may be important to go into more detail about what you define to be resistance. It would not be the only way to "oppose", is what I am getting at. What about re-direction?

Opposing, resisting; I think I got my point across for now. Thanks, though!
