So much of what you've said rings true with me as well, along with many other people. In my corporate job, I pull my own weight and do so well in my performance, but it looks like I have to work extra hard to get recognized or noticed for my efforts. Some talented people really do have to work hard, and others just get things dropped onto their lap.
