Camping in Eldorado Victoria, Australia

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Last summer family and I took a trip with couple of friends to camping grounds in Eldorado, Victoria which used to be gold mining region. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets, camp fire and explored versatile nature while our friend was commited to find some gold nuggets.

Our daughter enjoying her very own trampoline under the large tree, she completely loved it.

The camp site is situated in a valley with very little wind, so when the temp hit +38c it's gets hot.. real hot.

We were the only people there at the time, so it was great for our dogs just to run around freely without worrying to much. Large open spaces for camping that you can relax and rewind.

Usually there is a small creek running down the camping side, but this summer it dried up and green shrub replaced it.

Just relaxing after fun on the trampoline.

Beautiful flower next to the trampoline, with a warm breeze under the tree felt like heaven.

With the mercury hitting the 40c it was great to dip in the refreshing river to cool down.

Started gold digging but It's more like gold panning for fine dust, although he did find some it was not enough for pint.

As the day came to an end we got a beautiful sunset while sitting around camp fire with good mates having a cold one while waiting for the sausages to finish sizzling.

Call me simple, but I love camping and this is living.

Love your pictures. Good luck next time with gold panning.

Thank you :) it is pretty fun, especially if you find some proper gold without looking through magnifying glasses :)

very beautiful place ;)
thanks for airing :)

That looks magical. All humans deserve a chance to unplug and reconnect with nature. It really is the best medicine to ground back to the earth, breath the fresh air and take a dip in flowing waters. Onward and upward, just followed ya. :)

Yep spot on, after all the weekly work it's great to free yourself from all that.

Great pictures and narration.

Thank you donofa :)

Appreciate the resteem man, yes there is plenty of places to search for gold, and decent size too.

You are very welcome. I sometimes watch videos about Australia with metal detecting. Looks like so much fun.

Thanks love travelling so this is very nice feel like being on holiday.

I'm glad you like it. It's winter here now so looking at those makes me feel good :D

Very cool. Awesome that you had the whole place to yourself -- it's the best when that happens!

Yep it was great, no music late at night or doing stupid things.
