Funny thing about the women complaining about this. Female gamers don't even care about stuff like this. Go to the Overwatch Community. Every character is sexualized from the women to the men to the robots. Even the females in the community make lewds about the women in the game.

The only people who are complaining about this are the people who were never even involved in video game culture to begin with. It's like the soccer moms who buy their little kids Rated M games & then complain to the industry, or just the retail shop she bought the game from, that it was too violent.

Oh fuck yeah, dude. Have you seen the Outside XBOX crew? They ALL love Tomb Raider, Jane even more than the rest as far as I've seen!

The only problem I have with making pop culture characters be politically correct is that they don't come up with new one and change existing ones instead.
There's no problem with making a transgender, african, albino born without a leg as a protagoinst.
You should probably not call them by the name of already established character which traditionally is none of those things.

Titties aside, that's part of what makes it all the more effective as propaganda.

It is truly disturbing how often the far left push for replacing superior culture of western world by some backwards mudhut tribe practices.
While breast reduction is not the same as dressing Lara Croft in a burka, it's the same principle,
they are throwing mud and see what sticks. This time it's boobs, next time Lara Croft may suddenly be fat, or different colour, or gender-fluid, or whatever.
Because they cannot make a Tomb Rider with a 2nd, new Protagoinst, that would not fit the agenda, western pop culture icons must be gradually replaced instead.

I always played Tomb Raider games and never cared much for the tits. I do feel like there definitely is a need to make characters from different media as close to the original material as possible. I'm not saying you can't make a character that is white be black, or with big tits have small tits, but what's the point of that? Why push an agenda that is already pretty well established?

Honestly, this bothers me too, Feminists have ruined video games and it's only getting worse
In 5 years Lara will be in a fucking burka

Let us not bring back the dark era of Anita & GamerGate. Being a male gamer during that generation was a living hell because of people who don't understand video games or were never gamers to begin with trying to destroy creative female characters in video games.

It wasn't just Anita. Governments have always being using video games as the easy piece of media to pick on and blame for problems.

People still overreacting over nothing i see. Classic SJW behavior, triggered by everything.

Whats always puzzled me about feminist is how they say women should be able to dress in any way they want. However they attack female characters who are dress in revealing clothes. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Honestly, it's probably more so pleasure or sexual objectification that they have a problem with. In many instances in our current pop culture it's fine to objectify men, even in vulgar ways, but it's not ok if a woman dresses sexy/has a hot body and someone enjoys it.

So, TJ, I dont get that comment about MRAs. Much less about the ridicilousness on the opposite sides of mens rights. Well, the opposite would simply be advocacy against rights, but im sure its fair to assume you mean womens rights advocacy. Strangely enough i couldve sworn you are a womans rights advocate. Or do you deny ever having spoken in favour of womens rights? If you have, thats what we call advocating for womens rights.
And, its not my native tounge but as far as im concerned someone who welds is a welder. Someone who smithes is a smith. And someone who advocates for womens rights is a womans rights advocate and someone who advocates for mens rights is a mens rights advocate.
Strangely enough, i dont think ive ever run across either a WRA or an MRA that was in some way a cretin or ridiculous.
Though i wouldnt be suprised if you heard a MGTOW which was described as an MRA (presumably becouse they have the hatred for MRAs at the ready while theyd have to explain what MGTOW means) even though MGTOW according to what they say is one of the few thins which is mutualy exclusive to mens rights advocacy.

I don't like big boob.

I agree, more would be better.

Remember the first Tomb Raider movie with Angelina Jolie? They thought her ample 36C boobs weren't big enough so padded them out another cupsize to 36D. Jolie was quotes saying "... we didn't want to take things away from her the things that are, you know, her trademarks". Isn't Angelina considered a 'feminist hero' ?

Gettin in on the vap juice. Although Lara Crofts rack has been steadily upgraded so i cant complain

I don't care what you say. I'm seeing this movie this weekend. I cannot wait.

No let's boycott the movie until we get bigger tits on screen! lol

That tweet was gold TJ!!!

Funny boob thumbnail, hahaha.

First its video game boobs next it will be cartoon boobs. When will the madness stop?

Well, they arent much smaller than in the games since the relaunch. Reason why they were so big was just technical limitations. You cant do small breast and have them look the least bit round with the size of polygons at that day and age.

That doesn't really sound quite believable imo. There were plenty of smaller details on her in that picture, so why couldn't the chest area have been made smaller? No, I think it was just a case of trying to cater to an adult/teenage audience with sex and violence + not wanting to spend too much money on it.

The box art, yes. Ingame? Ingame it allready was a triangular rod. Unless you mean 2 dimensional "details" which is a texture thing, not a 3D modelling thing.

I just notice here hair and even backpack has textures that look authentic enough and probably don't take away from gameplay, so why would you have to do the chest area any different? Would be easy enough to make it smaller, or bigger with little less realism possibly.

Exactly. They have textures. Textures are not a big deal, thats just pictures... Now the 3D part as you mightve noticed her breast isnt simply painted on, they couldnt get polygons small enough.

Yes, but my point is why even go for that big B's then? Obvious answer. And why couldn't they have made smaller or used textures to make them big like they did with the backpack? (same answer) What about the shape of the other body parts etc.

So my point of view stands. I don't think it was just due to technical limitations. Maybe they played a role, but it surely must have been a deliberate decision to make them like that to a large extent.

(I'm gonna guess we're both guys, considering our ability to make a conversation about boob size into a serious and almost scientific matter of great importance)

They were allready so small that they looked very pointy. If you want to have more roundness in a smaller area you need more polygons for your wireframes. Thats why charackters today have more polygons in their faces than they had at that time for the whole body. And more polygons making up one breast than they had back then for their faces.

Nevertheless, im sure one can reasonably argue that if big breast were universaly seen as negative (i personaly prefer them smaller. Ideal size 2 hands full imo.) they wouldve worked on a better solution.

Tomb Raider has literally fucking always been one of those games preteens jerked it over. If you're going to make a movie about it, she has to have big fucking tits or SHE ISN'T CAST CORRECTLY. I don't even like tits, but it's something that literally everyone who has talked for more than five minutes about the game has talked ABOUT.

I don't care. I like big and small breasts, and I don't have any connection with this franchise. However, I appreciate your criticism of an often overlooked societal double standard.

That's some funny shit. Already listened to this three times. Maybe that says something about my intelligence, but hopefully not what first comes to mind... ;)

One love.( 。ㅅ 。)
