 I'm a crazy ex girlfriend

I want to talk about a series that I did not know completely but that I loved so much but so much that I devoured the first two seasons in just days and it is 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend'. With that title I really thought that it would not happen of the first episode, besides I am not fanatic of the musicals because they make me eternal and boring, nevertheless one afternoon I was without anything to do, strolling for the catalog of Netflix and I decided to give it a chance, therefore At some point in my life I have also been a crazy ex girlfriend, though not as much as Rebecca, the protagonist. The result was great, wow that surprised me!

What is it about?

'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' is about Rebecca Bunch, a lawyer with an excellent job in New York, earning a lot of money, yet feels unhappy, suffering from depression and anxiety, and just after having a nervous breakdown, she finds her ex boyfriend Josh, with whom he was in a teenage summer camp and it is there that he remembers how happy he was next to him, that's why he decides to move wildly to West Covina, California, where Josh lives to try to get back with him. be. All Rebecca's strategies and ruses to approach Josh, plus his problems and longings (and those of the rest of the characters around him), are expressed through musical numbers full of jokes and humorous moments.

Musical Comedy, Glee style?

Nooo! It is a musical comedy series but not at all focused on teenagers, it is not tedious, the music is very original, contagious, parodying current songs and very funny lyrics that remain in the subconscious. The best is his rude and sarcastic humor, with actors with a high level of interpretation, despite not being so well known. The most important thing is the story, you can think that it is full of love clichés, but in reality they always end up turning situations to face the real problems of life, that reality that reflects the life of our generation among the 20 to 30 years, eternally depressed for reasons seemingly nonexistent for the rest of the world.

 Nothing more Rebecca Bunch?

Well, no! There are more characters that complement the story and have their own problems, but always linked to the madness of Rebecca for reconquering Josh. - Josh Chan (Vincent Rodriguez III) is a relaxed, kind, always happy, naive, without academic training, also has stable girlfriend with whom he has been many years, called Valencia. - Greg (Santino Fontana) is the other love interest of Rebecca in 'Crazy ex-girlfriend', Josh's friend from childhood, works in a bar and has a very low self-esteem but disguises it with cynicism. - Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin) is the best friend of Rebecca in West Covina, California, legal assistant of the law firm where she works, and helps Rebecca in each of her follies to escape her boring married life. He becomes obsessed with the goal of uniting Rebecca and Josh at any cost. - Darryl (Pete Gardner) is the head of Rebecca, divorced, with a preadolescent daughter and in conflict with their sexual preferences. He stands out in the series for his enthusiasm for life, making things easy to see and at the same time going unnoticed by his coworkers, who treat him with indifference, perhaps because of his enthusiasm and trying to force everything. - Heather (Vella Lovell) is the neighbor of Rebecca, studies psychology, know-it-all, sarcastic and usually correct Rebecca in each of his follies, bringing it to reality. - Valencia (Gabrielle Ruiz) is a yoga instructor and Josh's girlfriend, a beautiful girl, thin, tall, hateful, a strawberry girl.

Additional information, Curiosities? Or something like that…

- The series is created by Rachel Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna, with Bloom playing "Rebecca" and winning the Golden Globe for Best Comedy Actress.

- Some of the songs in the series are filmed twice, a version for TV and an explicit version. The explicit versions are published on Rachel Bloom's YouTube channel. Link here:

-The CW Network is the American television network that broadcasts it.

-The CW renewed the series for a third season, which has just premiered, on October 13, 2017.

-In Netflix 2 seasons are available. -It is aimed at the female audience showing the attempt of conquest and suffering of a woman towards an absurd love. -All episodes include the name of Josh. -The introductory song of the series is different for each season.
