And then the darkness envelops...

Hey there!

So it's been 16 days since I last posted anything on steemit. I've been busy the past weeks with school requirements and deadlines to meet. There were lots of sleepless nights doing projects. It was so hectic and I didn't have time to draft a post.

And here, after 16 days!

Life has been uneventful for me. I haven't encountered any big adventures and surprises (well, aside from my recent fiasco about my grades) and I could say it's enough as of now. I go on every day life no matter how repetitive it is and in my case, that's perfectly normal.

Today is like any other day in my life, the busy school activities and the time spent for manga and webtoons but I went home earlier than usual. I usually come home at around 9 or 10 in the evening due to school works and lately, graduation rehearsals too. The rehearsal was cancelled so I got to go home early (though it's already almost 6 when we decided to head home). My friends took a detour and spent some time to eat dinner, it seems, but I went home right away because I'm having a headache.

The photos above were taken when I got home. I actually ran home when I saw the pinkish sky above and quickly settled my bag and things.

Now you might wonder about the darkness enveloping around the trees in the picture. You might even thought that it's the dark clouds when evening comes. But no it's not.

An hour prior to the time when the first three photos were taken, there was a fire on the area just right beside the Mactan Channel. Ironic, isn't it? Who would have thought that a place beside the shores of the channel can succumb to fire.

The photo below shows where the fire occurred.

Fire in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu

What amazed me was actually the smoke that came from the fire. It looked like a frame that encloses the Mactan Bridge. Just look at the two photos below. Unfortunately, I could not take a photo showing the whole curve of the smoke because the situation won't allow it.

So the cloud-like darkness in the first three photos were actually the smoke from the fire. It's still visible even when I got home and to think that the fire happened a few kilometer away from our place. So much for peace :3

'Till next time,
tina

Thanks. I haven't posted in a while so it's great to know someone actually appreciated it :)

Wow! That's amazing, Ojou. Was that a dangerous fire? I hope not. And I hope your life would be more free soon. Hang in there!!

It was very dangerous Ojou.. But we're a bit far from the actual place so we were safe :)
