Hey folks,
I just took a big leap of faith and bought a compact tractor on auction. I was looking for one for a while, but even a second hand is quite expensive in Belgium. And if you're looking for one with a front loader even more.
If you bought a front loader separately it will set you back around 6000€ for a new one. We bought this tractor for 5510€ in total, taking into account it has 2 running hours. On the other hand it's a older model. It's a Mitsubishi MT2001D. They are quite rare these days, so that explains the leap of faith. Spare parts are still available but it won't be at the local dealership. fingers crossed that the 2 running hours are real and paying off.
2 running hours and a older tractor, how would that be possible? Actually I have no idea. But I bought this tractor not blindfolded. I based my decision on a few key markers.
- The front loader has no rust or digging marks. Even has a fully intact sticker on it. You could say it's repainted, but if it was repainted the front off the bucked couldn't be that straight.
- The tires look brand new without wear.
- PTO is in mint condition
- The engine is cleaner then you would ever get it.
-I can give a lot more points, but I will give you guys one more important clue. The hydrolic components have the tendency to go down over time when not powerd up. So the hydraulics must work including the motor to run it. Other wise the wouldn't never get this 1ton machine outside.
I chose a tractor with a front loader because I believe it will help us with cleaning the stables, managing the manure issue, placing the drainage for the horse track and building our house.
Have a nice day!
