Why do we work so much and get so little in return? Surely we can best get paid for the work we do, and we can enjoy working with our affiliates own and work to do.

But for most of us, it works differently. We work a lot more hours and do a lot more work than perhaps ever before, believing that by doing so, we will find happiness and success that we want in our lives.

By Emma Seppala - Director of Stanford University's Center for Research and Education - working harder and longer hours will not necessarily make you're happy or successful.

In fact, hundreds of psychological studies suggest that the opposite happens more often. The key is to find happiness first.

When you're happy, then you will find the success you're looking for, transmits Klan Kosova.

In her book "The Way of Happiness," Emma says that "happiness - defined as a heightened state of positive emotions - has a profound positive effect on our professional and personal lives."

According to her, it "enhances our emotional and social intelligence, increases our productivity and increases our impact on friends and colleagues."

Below are some ways to scientifically proven that you can build your happiness - and become more successful as a result, transmits Klan Kosova.

Live in the moment

Rather than always think about the list what you have to do, focus on the task itself or face to face conversation. You will become not only more productive, but also more charismatic.

Manage your energy

Rather than engage in mind the points that you fail, you get used to manage your sustainability being quiet and focused. You will be able to save precious mental energy on tasks that need it most.

Do nothing

Instead of spending all your time in order to focus on your work, find time for fun and trivial interests. You will become more innovative and will most likely have to come up with creative ideas.

Be good to yourself

Instead you're self-critical, be compassionate with yourself. You will improve your ability to excel in your challenges and can learn from mistakes.

Get out of the comfort zone

We tend to think we are good at certain things, and we do not feel very secure when we have to take risks. Understand that your brain is built to learn new things - this is how we get new skills and expertise.

Show compassion for others

Instead, concentrate on yourself, express compassion for others and show interest in those around you, to maintain supportive relationships with your co-workers, supervisors and employees. You will dramatically increase the loyalty and commitment of your colleagues and employees, improve productivity, performance, and impact.
