While I agree that borders and sovereign states are generally becoming obsolete, I really can't raise much ire at the existing laws of Mexico being enforced.

He knew this going in, and knew it going out.

As much as I hear the "Anarcapulco" meme here, you're still under the enforcement arm of that country. "Free" and government don't mix well.
