Have you ever heard of the term Internet of Thing or abbreviated to IoT...?
The Importance of the Internet of Things
In general, IoT supports everyone in order to have a high awareness of our world and its development. As Brendan O'Brien pointed out, IoT provides us with many ideas for participating in various aspects of development from micro to macro around the world. That way, there are 3 main things that will be achieved.
1.) Management of Hazards and Natural Disasters Intelligently
With IoT support, every indivdu and an organization can get better accuracy when potential natural hazards occur. For example, IoTs connected to detection and alarm devices in a forest will be able to provide early notification when potential forest fires occur in an area. With early notice, of course the worst impact can be minimized. This also applies to other types of hazards and disasters such as home robberies, landslides, earthquakes, and so on.
2.) Smarter Urban Management
Some IoT projects are implemented to make life easier for people in various places, including urban communities. With the implemented IoT system, the government can automate management more intelligently. Examples can be seen in traffic applications, parking, garbage collection systems, and so forth. That way, urban society life will also become more advanced.
3.) Management of Health and Medical Care More Smartly
In some examples to be presented in subsequent sub-sections there will be some examples of IoT application in health. Overall, the addition of IoT features to some medical devices aims to minimize the occurrence of things that are not desirable in patients. So even before the doctor can know the potential for health problems in an individual and make prevention efforts.
"Keep in mind that the clever word that follows the above points is defined as the right and meaningful use and capability of information access to create a planet that feels safe, comfortable, and benevolent for future generations."
