This technology kind of reminds of the movie ' Surrogates'. Seems like the ramifications are very similar.

There was also an episode of Black Mirror which explored a similar theme where everything a person sees is now documented in high detail.

I guess the main issue for me is that identity suddenly becomes somewhat tradeable and that's mighty scary!
