You rock!!!

Hihi, Danke :-)

There is very famous quote of Ashton Kutcher

Vulnerability is the essence of romance. It's the art of being uncalculated, the willingness to look foolish, the courage to say, 'This is me, and I'm interested in you enough to show you my flaws with the hope that you may embrace me for all that I am but, more important, all that I am not.'

I am 100% Agreed, Probably the only weak point that we have is that we admit having one
Well life is all about uncertainty and what make human being courageous is their Will Power. With brave thoughts one can face any storm :)

You always make my life easy with your valuable thoughts and innovative ideas for which i am Really Thankful to you @surfermarly

Stay Blessed, Steem On!

What a great quote from Kutcher, thanks for the valuable adding!

Indeed Kutcher just nailed it :)

Thank so much for your kind appreciation Great Lady <3

Oh my, so enjoyed this read and sill have to check out the Ted Talk while I’m cleaning. Yes, it’s easy to associate vulnerability with weakness but you’re right, it’s the opposite. New follower and I really, really, appreciate your kind words and feedback on my smoothie post ❤️

Thanks for your kind words and the follow, it's always good to be surrounded by nice people :-)
See you around!

Oh my thank you!

I've always really sucked at small talk, which has sometimes made me seem strange to others I'm sure and limited my ability to be a more social person. If an interaction isn't rich in meaning and vulnerability, I'd rather not bother. Instead, I would rather have time and space to enter altered states of deep play consciousness. I am never bored there.

Thanks for this amazing post!

I always wanted to chat with Johnny Depp once in my life :-)
To be honest, I'm also not the best small talker and appreciate going a bit deeper. Obviously, in social media it's not always easy to do so. Still this is a place where you can find people who are interested in feeding each other lines.

Thanks for your comment, it's been special!

A deep conversation is what I am always hungry for. Unfortunately, in our societies we fear being vulnerable and have rich conversations "even with the right people. We have to solve trust issues first! We are afraid they'll use our weaknesses towards us one day! Some prefer fake conversations and connections and others prefer being alone! We need to start trying and embrace new capacities. As soon as I realized this, I started to open up my real-self and soul with people through Steemit, never did it before because I was busy in acting out the soul of characters I played. This train of thoughts has now become one of my favorite things to ponder.

You touched some really important points here! When I started to write this article it was actually meant to uncover something I had discovered in my recent conversations on Steemit. There are quite many people out here who constantly wait for your next mistake in order to celebrate it. This may lead to such culture of defense play. But then I found Brené Browns video and another one that inspired me to promote the very opposite: don't hide, open yourself!

Have a great Sunday! I'll get my surfboard ready now :-)

@austrobot - geht ned ;)

heast @austrobot du Trottel.

i kriag die Krise mit @austrobot

@austrobot - wir werden kane Freunde mehr

so good. Brene Brown writes some great stuff. Thanks for the reminder.

She really does. Thank YOU for stopping by :-)

I look forward to your posts! Thank you!

Vulnerability means you'll be hurt. So what? You'll recover. And the advantages are more than worth it.

I have been told by two different people that I love more completely and more absolutely than anyone they've ever known. You know the secret to that kind of love? Not being afraid of vulnerability.

Everyone should first recognize their vulnerabilities and then it can be used as strengths.
@surfermarly when do you have time to surf?

Tomorrow I'll be back in the water :-) Mellow winds, little waves and full sunshine - that's the way I like to do it.

This reminds me of what this famous dwarf guy of game of thrones said
"Wear your flaws like an armour and no one will be able to use it to hurt you"
Its true what the bible says, pride goes before a fall..... Often times the most important things in life are counterintuitive
Try to help people for free you become a badass billionaire
Try to be vulnerable, you build a castle with large walls around yourself!
True words @surfermarly
I couldn't agree more

Its Really Awesome! Great stuff!

Good talk and nice article.. Thanx for sharing.. I never think. In this way before

Great Post!
Vulnerability can be turned into strength.
That’s what a lot of what life is about turning out weakness into strength. Thanks for sharing and steem on :)

Excellent! I love works of Brene Brown! Thank you for reflecting on her work about vulnerability!

She's simply awesome. I'm glad you enjoyed the read!

i like the concept and i think its really great thing to admit your mistake by your self and present yourself as you are.

Sometimes when I read your post, I feel like you write from another realm.
I'm awestruck...

Haha, I hope that's something positive..? :-)

A vulnerable man is the man without fear, the man with the courage, the man without limitations. Setting out to succeed without fear.

thanxs really today i get to know about vulnerability and yap its about wining inside losing thanxs for such a great knowledge love it!

Very good post

really nice thanks for sharing!!!

Great artikel

Oooh, thanks for sharing! I think @things would also enjoy this post :D

Well, If you have passion then no one can stop you to achieve your life goal.

Vulnerability can't stop you either because once you are pumped then life will round surround you.

really liked this post so good

Great post!

The problem with image is that we have to maintain and uphold it, while a vulnerable self can just be.

I love this whole post. My wife and I talk often about who we are and who we are on social media, and do the two line up. We want to feel free to be ourselves and post what we want, and read what we enjoy. If we built some sort of online persona, then we can't be anything else without maybe letting followers down. I say full speed ahead and just be who we are! 🙃

@surfermarly wow nice sir your photography relay good informationyour post & helpful relay good..Amazing article and authority work. true good

wow nice sir your photography relay good information.excellent post friend.

I absolutely agree. In a world full of conformists standing out and being who you are takes the most strength and courage. Thank you for sharing.

such a great point @surfermarley but it is so hard lol. I'm at a point in my life where I desperately need to do this to transition to the next thing. It such great advice and I'm glad Im not alone in understanding how important it is. It is just so damn hard lol. Thanks for the pep talk.

you definitely changed my perspective on vulnerability

I also heard from somewhere that if you share something vulnerable about you it's easy to build a tight friendship

Love this.
The more I write, the more I realize the importance of this subject.
Thanks for sharing!

Throughout 2016 and 2017, I played around with being vulnerable and it back fired in a BIG way.

What's scary is I didn't know I was doing it wrong. There are guys on Twitter I follow (Ed Latimore, Mike Cernovich) and they make being vulnerable an art.

They practice what you just said here:

If you're able to come to that point where you recognize that the best defense is a strong and self-confident presence, nobody will ever be able to attack you again.

They talk about what they once dealt with on a certain topic then they talk about how they overcame it. After that, their haters seem to run out of things to hate on them about.

I loved this post! Keep it up!

Vulnerability - is a word used by the weak - in a psi-op.

By attributing negative, weak connotations to the word 'vulnerable' the weak are just trying to usurp the strength inherent in the people that are actually, strong and unafraid.

That are vulnerable.
(fear is a strong motivator in the weak)

The very qualities that the people slinging this word around in a negative way, do not possess. Envy.

'They' are in fact, the vulnerable. Vulnerable to their own lies, their own duplicity being held to the light.

(Cultural marxism in action....?)

I grew up in family of weak lying sociopaths, and I know this very well.

Years of my own 'vulnerability' - which were mocked by my own family - And were only seen by myself years later as a strength, (I as grew up.)

I am an incredibly strong person nowadays. Open, and unafraid of pretty much anything life has to throw at me...

(except of spiders . I hate spiders. They scare the shit outta me!lol)

I believe Vulnerability is the key to true connection. Our egos are so busy creating a perfect self-image that we can present to the world, but people don't connect with us because they are impressed, they connect with us when we allowed them to see our true Selves, the ones we normally hide behind the perfect self-image.

Connection happens when we recognize ourselves in each other. Since nobody is perfect, how could we possibly recognize ourselves in someone else's perfection?

When we see their imperfections and vulnerabilities though, we go, "Hey, she's human! I'm human, too! We're the same! Let's be friends!"

We should all let our guard down a little more often :)

People don't connect with us because they are impressed, they connect with us when we allowed them to see our true Selves, the ones we normally hide behind the perfect self-image.

I couldn't agree more.
People fall in love with imperfections, all these tiny little things we're not even aware of. That's what makes us human - and special.

We should all let our guard down a little more often :)

Society does everything to prove us wrong here. They want us to be perfect, but we won't ever be.

Thanks for stopping by - and sharing your connection post :-) Lovely!

I absolutely adore this. Practicing more and more openness, and hence vulnerability, is what my whole life is about. There is nothing left to defend once you put the walls down! Full upvote & following. 🙏🏽

Thanks for your lovely worlds and support @steemed-open! If you appreciated this one here, you may also enjoy @connecteconomy's wonderful follow up article :-)
Steem on!

Yes as it seems that way !We should embrace it and get to learn from in the process !
