Yeah, mid-2017 was a rough time for newcomers...I know this because it became an excruciatingly rough time for revenue-generating Steemians.
But you are right...2018 is shaping up to be an unprecedented year in cryptocurrencies, so I think you're going to see some serious things on this network!
