If You Want To Be On The Trending Page But Haven't Ever Experienced It, This Video Is For You

in #life7 years ago (edited)

I was spending a lot of time reading posts today, and I noticed that overall, I feel the engagement is kind of low.
Do you think this is an ongoing trend?

As @whatsup pointed out, if your goal is to get on the trending page, most will be disappointed. If this is you, then you will appreciate this Steemicide Hotline video I made that addresses this exact issue:

I haven't made a Steemicide Hotline video in a while, as I am still searching for topics.....and pain. Like @infovore mentioned in his last post, I do succumb to getting in an information absorbing mode where I am not thinking about what to create, but am consuming information like it's going out of style.

After getting back from vacation, I see that I am spread way too thin, and I need to simplify my jobs. I see the need to get off Facebeook Page managing, and write more, study more. I am trying to see where I am needed the most on Steemit. I was helping @steemgigs along, and working with @efrageek to support his Venezuela Project at @provenezuela, https://steemit.com/@provenezuela which has been very successful in onboarding many Venezuelans. It was one thing I felt I could do to help ease a small amount of pain in Venezuela. @efrageek has been tireless in his project and amazing to work with. Please follow and support the Project that he has been creating. So if you ever watch the news and you're thinking to yourself, "I feel very bad that this situation is happening to people in Venezuela. What can I do?" You can do something! You can follow @provenezuela and upvote the posts created by real Venezuelans who are on Steemit.

Also, soon, the Afghan CEO whom I wrote about recently said she will be coming into Steemit. She was named among the most influential group of people by TIME magazine a few years ago and her work is incredible. See my post about her here: https://steemit.com/steemgigs/@stellabelle/steemgig-i-will-pay-you-100-steem-to-onboard-one-female-digital-citizen-fund-student-from-afghanistan-into-steemit.

I'm also starting up a new physical school called Bitcoin School in Kansas City. All classes will be free. A local friend and successful entrepreneur, Franny Knight, is letting me use her enrepreneur house to have my classes in. I'm calling it Bitcoin School, but my main focus will be Steemit. And speaking of Steemit, I had a lot of time to think about Steemit recently. I think moving forward, I'll be committing more time and resources to advancing projects in Steemit than anything else. After all, it was Steemit that changed my life.

The Bitcoin School I'm starting will be every other Saturday in Kansas City, Missouri. I'll have more details soon, and also I'll be interacting with students right here on Steemit. Helping these new students learn as a group.

The one thing I've been noticing is: as Steemit gets bigger and bigger, we will need to form groups that all can all support one another.

A really cool project I found today while reading is @blueorgy's @helpbot project. It's a friendly AI project that can help all of us. Check it out.

And a big shoutout to @lauralemons who created this amazing avatar for me. Thanks Laura!

While everyone strives for that trending page, people should realize that success takes time and a lot of work. Nothing can be achived by coppying someones content or trying to get someones attention.. without being yourself it simply cannot work.

yes, and I think everyone probably forgets that I gave up everything instantly just so I could spend 10-12 hours on Steemit, EVERYDAY. Posting, commenting, encouraging, and building up social interaction.

Exactly there is no success without hard work and since this is a social media it is a bit different since you need to engage more with people.

1o to 12 hours a day well done, i do 3 to 4 hrs at moment still learning. steeming on......

That job description kinda sounds like mine too :)

it's almost like a no-brainer for people who are social. Sometimes, I can't believe people don't quite get it, but I guess not everyone is as obsessive/passionate as we are....

A super-passionate person called Stella was mentioned in the Daily Dose today :)

Nice article
