RE: Probably Ain't Gonna Happen

in #life7 years ago

It should be hard to change such things, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be considered. The world of 200 years ago was different to now and it it seems people twist the meaning of those words to suit their purposes. I'm happy to live in a country where guns and gun crimes are rare. Of course we still have crime, but on a much less deadly scale.

Sort:

There are over 200 proposed changes to the Constitution a year and only 27 actual changes. They have considered repealing the 2nd amendment multiple times but it has never gotten out of committee. Ironically, whenever this debate comes up, gun sales go through the roof.

The question should be, why do people feel they need guns? If it's because others have them then it will never end. The gun industry is probably happy, but I heard some are struggling.

I own a few guns. Bought one when my wife walked in on a burglar. Police told me to either get a gun or move. All mine are registered, I am trained, I have a gun safe and have never needed to use it. Unfortunately, I do live in a high crime area (Los Angeles).

I'm not sure why they are struggling. I know sales are up here.

It seems Trump is bad for sales, but opinions will vary. I hope you never need to use your guns.

Great article! Makes sense. I hope I don't have to either. Don't have ammunition, lol.
