I upvoted this primarily for the pics of the beautiful moon, the Dr. Seuss quote, and the last couple showing that love looks past the physical, and sees the heart.
There's a Bible verse: Man looks on the outside; but, God looks at the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7)
I have to agree that love as man defines it is pretty much an illusion. I prefer to see love as a seed that, once planted in the heart, grows, stagnates, or dies. Of course, because humans are imperfect creatures, it may very well do all three.
A real test of love is seeing the person at their worst, and still considering it so. Of course, it's far deeper than that; and, far too lengthy to discuss in this comment.
Peace.
