RE: Enough

in #life7 years ago

Wow...I'm checking back in to reread this post and can say I'm disappointed at the low number of views it's getting. This happened to a recent article I published; and, I had to ask myself why. Well, in my case, after rereading my post I realized I had much more that could have been left on the 'cutting room floor'. However, even after doing a major edit; I realized that the headline was lacking the 'grab' element. I feel that's the same with this post. Perhaps, if the title read: Enough: Why I Gave Up On 20 Years of Prepping...Of course, this article could be cut and paste, and given a new headline. Of course, the one I suggested is yours should you choose to repost this. I think it's something worth reading; so, I will give it a resteem.
Btw, I hope you're faring well with the major life-adjustment.
Peace.

Thanks - the thing is I am writing for myself and have no expectations of anything. In that too, I am liberated.

Namaste

I think that's called cathartic. Most avid writers have this at their root. It is liberating to talk it out with 'pen and paper'. Praising God for the keypad :+)!

Please consider an update on your minimalist journey. It touched a cord with many who read it. I joy in giving everything I no longer want or need away. I held on to a lot of stuff, thinking my kids would want it when they became adults, (dishes, etc); but, they had tastes of their own. They wanted to carve their own path, collect things that reflect who they are. So getting rid of stuff, decluttering, is a liberating thing! Many should try it. At the end of the day, when we take our last breath, someone will have to weed through everything we leave behind. We should make it easier for them.
Peace!
