Hi guys it's sojuvely here.
I just got back home from my trip to Spain.
There was a very decent VERMUT bar near my hotel in Barcelona and I really enjoyed it.
So, I thought it might be nice to share the place with others !
Here we go !
It's called 'BOCA BACO' and very tiny.
I even failed to try this place 2 times due to the late open time and no available seats.
Monday 11:30AM–4:30PM, 8PM–12AM
Tuesday 11:30AM–4:30PM, 8PM–12AM
Wednesday Closed
Thursday 11:30AM–4:30PM, 8PM–12AM
Friday 11:30AM–4:30PM, 7:30PM–1AM
Saturday 12:30–4:30PM, 7:30PM–1AM
Sunday 12:30–4:30PM
(I referred it from Google )
I recommend to go the place right after they open the restaurant or pretty late.
It was pm 10 or 11ish when I got there and I could have the table inside.
It was very clean and well decorated
However, as I mentioned it above, the place is pretty tiny so it might be uncomfortable for the close tables.
It was okay for me tho :-)
So it's the menu ! It's shame a bit that they don't have an English menu.
But the owner was very helpful, explaining all menu in English in very detail.
Thanks to him, we didn't have any problem to enjoy the drinks.
They had LOTS OF vermuts, draft beers, and other some cocktails.
For me and my boyfriend, since we didn't happen to try any other specialized vermut bar, we dug only vermuts.
I swear we tried almost every single one on the menu. haha
When I asked the drink, the owner was always there to tell us what the drink is like, such as strong, very bitter, sweet and so on.
Even though I didn't speak Spanish and didn't know about any vermut, it was very easy to order what I felt like to drink.
This set of seafood was amazing with the vermut.
You have to absolutely get those if you go this place.
Plus, the olives were fresh as well !
We hadn't had dinner yet, so ordered this sandwich.
I don't know the name of it :-(
My boyfriend found the pictures of it via google and asked it to the owner.
Anyways I could say it was very tasty, especially the bread was very crunchy.
It was my boyfriend's favorite vermut.
Also it seemed like the owner guy was very proud of having the drink there :)
If you are martini person, you will definitely enjoy it.
Somehow it was missing on the menu, so you have to ask the owner.
My favorite one was 'Cruz Conde'.
(FYI, he prefers sweet ones and I rather prefer bitter ones. )
Yeah we did have many of them ... :-)
This seafood menu (Langostillo) was on the house ! yay !
You could have a set of some various seafood. Or, it is possible to have each single one separately.
I do recommend you to have this one as well !
These pictures were taken when I visited the place on the other night.
Oh yes it was my very last night in Spain.
If you have a chance to go to Barcelona, you must visit this place, BOCABACO :)
You could have a bunch of different decent vermuts with nice tapas.
The vibe there was very enjoyable as well.
