Hey Cece, you keep amazing me! Thanks for your openness. There is always an inside and an outside perspective. And I totally believe you that from the inside, it was very extremely scary for you. Departing from what the normal person is supposed to do and deviating from expectations that are deeply ingrained in society is very stressful. It might be also scary for your loved ones who believe that there is only the one way and that all the other ways will lead to failure.
I'd say that the majority of people are convinced that they cannot escape. Even if they are told that there are alternatives, they might not be convinced that there is an alternative way for them.
Seeing and reading your story is so refreshing! It is not theory, but it is actually the experience that you had and lived! You took a very very big step and you succeeded! Showing that it might be actually possible to break free, yeah!
Cu, Chris

You're so right. My parents still shake their head and on one side are so proud of me for following my dreams and breaking free but then on the other hand, they think I'm failing the system. I think it was really important for my father to see me in my element with his own eyes, he now is trying to break free himself. Seeing is believing!
It's hard to take the risk if you don't know what's going to come and sadly, nothing is guaranteed.
I think that Steemit is a great example of how people can choose an alternative way. I see a lot of people on here breaking free I'm just happy to be able to share some of my experience and hopefully inspire more break outs ;) π
I'm glad your father experienced you in "your element". haha This might have changed a lot in him and the way he sees the world. Changes take time! I think there is no doubt that you have already inspired a lot of people and there are even more to come. :)
Awww thank you! I hope so! I think we have a really great community going here and I know we can make a big difference together π
