Millions of mosques spread around the world. However, there are few mosques in them, which have attracted attention through religious significance as well as their construction and architecture.
Some of these are famous for historical reasons, but some are discussed due to the use of sophisticated design and construction materials. Last year National Geographic published a list of wonderful beautiful mosques. Let's take a look at the pictures of mosques in the list and also their brief introduction.
1)Sultan Ahmed Mosque, Istanbul
Sultan Ahmed mosque is a historic mosque in Turkey. The first Muslim of the Ottoman Sultan, Ahmed, built this mosque in 1616. It is also known as Blue Mosk because of its blue tile in the interior walls of the mosque. The mosque has five main domes, six monuments and eight middle-domed dome. The location of the mosque is located just next to Hajia Sophia church in Istanbul. Like Hajia Sophia, it is also very popular to tourists. 10,000 devotees can pray together at the mosque. The UNESCO Mosque includes the World Heritage Site

2) Nasir Al Mulk Mosque, Iran
Nasir al-Mulk mosque, built in 1888, is located in Siraj's fifth largest city, Shiraz. The traditional mosque is famous for its colorful glass windows. Though the mosque looks very ordinary from the outside, its inner craftsmanship attracts people. The light coming from the colored windows and the walls located inside the mosque make an impressive view by enhancing the different color designs on Persian carpets. Because of the pink tiles on the floor, the mosque is locally known as the Pink Mosque.

3) Isiclal Mosque, Jakarta
The word Arabic isticlal means freedom. Isiclal Mosque in Indonesia's capital Jakarta has been built in memory of the country's independence. The mosque completed in 1978 is the national mosque of the country. The mosque with a capacity of 200,000 devotees is one of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia. At the time of creation, it was the largest in Southeast Asia in terms of capacity and mosque in the mosque and the third largest Sunni mosque in the world after the mosque. Its tower height is 100 meters. Though Indonesia's mosques are generally three-level roofs, this mosque has been designed to imitate the architecture of Arabia.

4)Jami Mosque, Delhi
The Jama Masjid in Delhi, built during Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, is one of India's largest mosques. After the death of Emperor Shahjahan's wife, he decided to bring the Indian capital from Agra to Delhi. At that time the mosque was built as the capital's main mosque. Its construction was completed in 1656. The construction of a mosque with a capacity of 25,000 devotees was estimated to cost around Rs 10 lakh at that time. The mosque made of red sandstone and marble stones carries the architecture of the Mughal empire.

5) Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Abu Dhabi
Sheikh Zayed mosque located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, is a large mosque in the country. Located on 12 hectares of land, this mosque complex has a rich library. In the mosque built at a cost of $ 545 million, valuable stones, chandeliers and carpets from different countries of the world have been used. The carpet with its surface area of 5,627 square meters is considered the world's largest carpet. The mosque with a capacity of 40,000 devotees was inaugurated in 2007. In the year 2016 and 2016, the mosque has been selected twice as the Trip Advisor's second favorite destination.

6) Sultan Hassan Mosque, Cairo
The Sultan Hassan Mosque, built in 1359 during the Mamluk Sultan, also included Madrasahs. This mosque, located in the Old City of Cairo, Egypt, was one of the largest mosques in the world during construction. There were arrangements for teaching on four schools of Islam in four madrasa in the four corners of the mosque. The height of the walls of the mosque is 32 meters.

7) Shah Mosque, Isfahan
Shah Mosque or Imam Mosque in Isfahan, Iran, is one of Iran's most famous architectural monuments. This mosque, built in 1629 under the rule of Shah Abbas of the Safavid Empire, has become the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The mosque is well-known for its seven-string mosaic tiles and on the walled caligraphic designs. It is considered one of the finest examples of Persian architecture in Persian.

8) National Mosque, Kuala Lumpur
Negara Mosque or National Mosque in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur is the National Mosque of the country. The mosque, built in 1965, is located in about 13 acres of land. Its musical capacity is 15,000. The mosque's dome is star-shaped, with 18 pinnacles. The number 18 represents 13 states of Malaysia and 5 poles of Islam. Its tower's height is 73 meters.

9) Education City Mosque, Doha
The Education City Mosque in Doha, Qatar's capital, is called the first mosque built of the most modern architecture. 1,800 devotees can pray together in a mosque built in 2015. The mosque, which is a completely different design, is located on five columns, indicating the five bases of Islam. There are also four fountains flowing through the garden surrounding the mosque, which represent water, honey, milk and liquor. The mosque's monument is twisted at two 90 meters high and Kaaba Sharif. The walls of the mosque have engraved the verses of the Qur'an Sharif.

10) Hassan al-Thani Mosque, Casablanca
Hassan al-Thani or Hassan Mosque, located in Casablanca, Morocco, is the world's largest monument of religious monuments. Its tower's height is 210 meters. The mosque built in 1993 has about 125,000 devotees. A laser beam is located on the top of its tower, from which a single light radiation is always dispersed along the side of the house of the Kaaba. The location of the mosque is on the western edge of the Muslim world, just across the Atlantic Ocean. Part of the mosque floats in the ocean waters.
