Music therapy is shown to be effective in treating amnesia, stroke, dementia, and heart disease.
Now, it may be a new way of helping the invisible injuries suffered during war.
"Music rebuilds damaged neural connections and aids the release of dopamine to help service members who suffer from traumatic brain injury and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). By significantly improving patient outcome and survival rates, music and other creative arts have become increasingly popular in recent years for the treatment of combat-related psychological injuries. Experts have also backed the power of rhythm in treating people with attention disorders."

a very great post I really like and I really like music
Excellent post @senseicat! I have been studying the power of music for such a long time - it's an amazing topic. I think that 'we are music' ;) My father in law had a serious stroke many years ago and I was amazed at the amount of programs that were available in hospitals using 'music' and also drumming. We are definitely not utilizing the power of music enough in either medicine or psychology. I don't know if you're familiar with Hemi-Sync but they have been studying this for a long time and have CDs for stroke, creativity, relaxation, etc
Thanks for sharing this.
I never knew music therapy can be so effective for PTSD.

Interesting article. The power of music is scientifically proven.
Music therapy is used as a relaxation technique and to alleviate ailments and many studies in recent years ensure that it provides benefits in the recovery and rehabilitation of people affected by certain diseases. Apparently, listening to the rhythms that are to our liking or our favorite songs helps to restore our mood and stimulates our brain functions.
