Each year, my friend sets up their Christmas village from Germany. It takes a complete day to carefully place each piece and everyone who comes to visit during the holidays get to enjoy this spectacular display.

I have a brother who used to have Department 56 Village buildings in a store he owned. For years, I would receive a new building from him for Christmas. I eventually added other brands to the set, and loved setting it up to look at during Christmas. We have moved twice cross country since those days and I have yet to get a space where I could set it up and enjoy it. Thank you for sharing the picture. It brings back memories. :)
Thank you for sharing your story with me and I know how much time it takes to collect, store and display these beautiful pieces. Luckily, you have this set and can enjoy sometime in the future when there is more space. It is also a lovely family heirloom.

One of the best parts of visiting a friend's home is spending time in their surroundings. Their home is absolutely immaculate and ageless as they keep it sparkling. The few items they have out for viewing all have lovely stories.
