depends...they tend to be a lot more reliable then windows machines, that's a pretty accessible advantage.
other than that, I feel like most of the advantages of unix systems come with either having some experience with them, or being willing to learn some of their underlying command line system. Personally, I love them. I work with webservers all the time, and so having a unix terminal at your fingertips can make things really simple. But, if you are not likely to jump into that realm, then maybe it's not a factor.
It's a way better system than Windows will ever be. It's basically way more secure, there are almost no viruses and it's free. Also yeah get a Mac if you want to work with it. If you are planing to play games maybe Windows is the way to go.
Ease so I will stop being curious because I have it, or ease because Apple is so brilliant? :D
It's not so brilliant but it works better than most laptops. Not to mention the OS is UNIX based.
