In the UK we can get tuition fee loans, grants and sometimes bursary's. It's easier now to access higher education.
But do you think we should get it paid for or do you think it's a waste of government money?
I'm saying this as I am just sending off for my year two tuition fee loan. Since I already have a degree I have borrowed over £9,000 and even though I have to pay it back (and I have been begrudgingly) it has served me well I gave me a good solid career for 15 years until I switched career path.
Now over to you...
Should we be paying for higher education. Is it necessary?
higher education should be paid for and sponsored by the government lol...
i dont see why the U.S. doesn't follow that example
Yes my son just said exactly the same thing about the US lol. Great minds!
lol yeah! you should see how much student debt there is in the U.S., in total... truly insane. but i can understand why there isn't such a system in place, sort of like how there isn't universal health care. the U.S. population is far greater than that of europe
It's crazy how things are so different over there! I think we are very lucky in the uk
It's dream for every one who would like to get higher education in US
My son sort of explained it to me in the US...everyone should have an opportunity not just the rich.
Actually, everyone can do it, if he doesn't have financial failures before. In this case he can take a credit, and then start to pay it after graduation
Yes this is what he's doing in the uk
The country (and the world) needs some forward thinking on education. Need fresh ideas based on emerging technologies, rapid pace of development and unbiassed deep thinking.
Forget the schools of the past - start with a clear mind based on the world as it is today and come up with something much more amazing.
The UK is not very good at forward thinking unfortunately - maybe a younger generation needs to take over, very interested to see what happens in France over the next decade or so.
What happens in France education system? Yes I agree with the forward thinking bit.
France - it's more regarding Macron - so much younger than your typical leader.
Oh yeah that would be interesting to see
