I've heard so many contraversial reviews on shantaram, that it almost dragged me into reading it. encompassing the 2 polarities: my love to india and the repulsion to the path the heroes were following. I might have stopped too early, cause this paragraph you've quoted is really worth fast-forwarding the pre-story. P.S. your painting is breathtaking. I've never seen anything alike.

@sagesonvacation stop reading reviews and read the book! I don’t know which heroes you’re referring to but what Shantaram alias Linbaba accomplished in the slums of India and later through hospitals and charities he built is absolutely extraordinary! Also his story is like none of other “heroes” I’ve ever read, so just do yourself a favour and read the book instead of judging by the reviews 😁 If saomeone ever captured what True Love and Passion means it was him in this book.
well, I guess, I absolutely must after such an encouragement @jankasparec. Pass my apologies to Timothy Leary and his Game of life if you see him, he's got to wait for now. I'm sailing off on a journey to Shantaram.
