RE: How to Make a Million Dollars in 5 Months

in #life6 years ago

Hey @tolkatore, yeah I think merchant processing would be the biggest expense for him. He coded the site himself so that was easy enough, hosting and a domain is pretty cheap, but considering a paypal or stripe or merchant processor is gonna take 0.30 cents from each transaction plus like another 3% on a small transaction like $10 per square it winds up being a little bit of money but really its still pure profit so not a bad hustle.

I honestly don't know that much about Alex Tew, but the little bit I know about him he's not a guru and not selling courses. I think his thing is creating these quirky or what some may even call dumb little funny viral ideas. MillionDollarHomepage.

If anything seemed spammy it was probably my quasi clickbait title how to make 1 million in 5 months but he seems to be on the up and up

I just don't believe any of these clowns anymore, because I did FBA, and the fees were so fucking crazy, and then once you do make a few bucks off the sale of an item, a customer scams you by sending it back to Amazon without actually sending it back, then you have to sell 3 more just to make up for the loss... it's a fucking shit-show!

Try it yourself sometime Johnny, and you will see... FBA is fucking dead!

I agree, I don't put much of a focus on FBA anymore. I have some older products I've been selling for a while that have rank and make a few bucks but Amazon is like the last place I put any effort, I like my own Shopify store where I make the rules and where I have a relationship with my customers and where I'm not getting raked over the coals with fees

I totally agree.
