I don't think it is always fair to call less intelligent people "idiots" (lol).

Though sometimes need a broader-sweeping generalization to keep the word count for an article down, rather than going into precise distinctions.

And, there surely are some who undoubtedly fall into the “idiot” category - not to name names or provide examples, as we certainly could all come up with our own... :-)
