RE: Vlog #45: Is it better to stay anonymous when you can create money out of thin air?

You raised too many good points in your video. I certainly agree that having Steem is the best way to make more Steem and this comes with a lot of power and responsibility.

I also love the idea of charities on the blockchain as this will make them incredibly accountable. That's a great idea!

As far as anonymity goes, I have always preferred it and I really don't understand why do people think that your introduce yourself post should include personal verification. I am happy to be here and to use steemit, but I have reasons to not want to reveal much about my identity. Is that so bad?

There is no reason the reveal your identity unless you want to. It's not bad in my mind.

I think so too. But when I registered, I read a lot of guides that were saying that you should get verified, that your #introduceyourself post should have a photo of you with something written by hand and so on. I get that the blockchain is supposed to be open, but that was something I really don't feel like doing and it felt a bit strange to see that. Then I realized that it wasn't really a rule and a lot of people simple didn't care for that just like myself.
