I see the damage wasn't too bad. I think everybody who upvoted your article knew you and the punk was late to the party, trying to make a moot point. Unfollow him and don't let it eat you up.
I already unfollowed him... The guy has massive voting power (38,000 SP)... I just can't believe somebody could be that much of an asshole! I'm fighting to stay out of a nursing home- and he does this. It hurts to know there's people like him on here.
@pfunk does a lot of good for Steemit, but I can't fathom why he flagged your plea for help over all the people posting screenshots of other websites in order to make a few hundred each post and I would really like to see his reasoning for this.
I will still try to support you anyway I can and if you ever need anything feel free to PM me.
He must really loathe himself and be incredibly unhappy to kick someone that's down... I bet he tips people in wheelchairs over! I unfollowed him and withdrew my witness vote!
You hang in strong there, man. There's some really nice whales on here, but not all of them can be saints, it seems. You'll get outta this in good time, and you won't need to be fazed by his negativity, whoever he was.
It's nearly incredible, I find, (I'm choosing my words very carefully here), that a very negative flame-war (plus the monetary and reputation damage) based on misunderstanding can actually be resolved in a civil fashion on a social network.
Without a trace of sarcasm- way to act like adult humans, @richq11 and @pfunk . It only took a few hours for errors to be rectified, to defuse the drama, and reinforce some positivity.
This is the kind of public interaction that can have far-reaching and constructive reverberations.
That is so lame... I am also concerned about the amount of flagging whales & bots... They flag people for promoting and upvoting their own posts... And then they only upvote their own posts. Spam should be flagged, not a post like yours!
I was actually following this guy and upvoting him! I had even voted for him for witness. I guess there are scumbags that can't stand to see anybody else have success... even though I'll never make that much on a post again.
It's a bummer to see that that jackass is in the top 50 witnesses... They clearly don't deserve the position and it's ridiculous for people to waste precious Voting Power screwing people over... Absurd. I had to double check I hadn't voted them for witness 😂
@richq11
Sometimes people take genuine pleas as scam..but don't mind... The lord is your strength... Just try and reach him one on one... Who knows... Wish you all the best
the problem can be that once you're in their 'sights' you're a continuing target. i agree that flagging by a p.o.s whale is pretty despicable. i think a lot of them are doing to keep the pool as large as possible so the can self-upvote to clean up on the rewards. i see this has reduced this payout to zero. i wish there were a way for other whales to band together and correct this situation kinda like the minnow support does for newbies.
exactly; it's not worth the aggravation. he cost you 10 buck, maybe? not a biggie
and don't feel bad abouts asking for help.
I occasionally try to crowdfund some a software/training package for myself (Maltego - used for intel analysis)
a damn shame some of these whale busybodies dont spend the effort on actual spammers as much as they do trying to force out people who have different ideas about what the platform is used for than they do
You know, after spending a good amount of time today seeing how much some scammers are able to take with id theft and plagiarism despite people looking out and downvoting it, you getting an extra $30 isn't so bad. I'm going to reverse the vote.
Thank you! I'll follow you again and continue to upvote your posts... I'll also put you back on my witness votes. I'm sorry about the comment I made (to your friend?) But I felt like he was attacking me for reaching out to my friends.
It was very difficult for me to write that post... The way Steemit is set up everybody gets to see it. If I could just have sent it to friends and followers, I would have gone that way.
I don't know what being "flagged" means. What's going on here? And if it is negative or bad why is it part of this? I mean duke it out in words. Full sentences at seven paces (or steps if you want to stay with the alliteration). Keep writing!
When you're flagged it takes away from your payout and diminishes your reputation. People (not the good ones) with a lot of voting power (SP) use it to control the platform.

It was a misunderstanding... We've straightened it out
Ah, I see. That's good. You don't need anything pulling you down right now, so the more positive karma (if you believe) you can get, the better.
Unfortunately that's life. His actions reflect on himself....
It's ok now... we've straightened out the misunderstanding. The hatchet has been buried (and not in my back- thank God)
I am happy to hear that and thank you for letting me know. :)
Good to hear!
@onetree
Correct...but the whale shd have investigated more...flagging at random is bad...nice comment
I'm glad to see it has been sorted out.

It was just a misunderstanding... everything has been resolved!

That's another thing that bothered me... I had and followed him and upvoted his stuff.
@amvanaken
Right...only genuine spam shd be flagged and not such posts. Nice comment

idk; I never get involved in the who deserves steem rewards soap operas these folks play while they circle jerk each other w/ upvotes
oops, did I say that? ;>
I wish I had better advice for you
Well, I'm not going to let it get to me... I said what I had to say! I was following him and upvoting his posts.

I'm just going to focus on my writing... The episode for tomorrow took a ton of research!
Really, that's the best thing to do. your readers will keep upvoting you, and you will gain new readers over time.
I been on creek watch the last two nights so I'm more than a little on the grouchy side LOL
I would have downvoted this comment of yours too but I didn't so that it would be more easily viewed by people visiting your post:
Why...I'm just trying to stay out of a nursing home
