Justice and fair play, the bedrock of Peace in the world

Introduction

The word "justice" as defined by merriam-webster dictionary is the quality of being just, impartial, or fair. It is the maintenance or administration of what is just especially by the impartial adjustment of conflicting claims or the assignment of merited rewards or punishments e.g. meting out justice 1

Having defined justice, it is clear that the lack of it is the major cause of diverse tension all over the world. People with perception of denial of justice often take the last option; fighting for justice.

Our world will be a better place if in all we do, we apply justice to all. This is a simple formula that if well applied, will save the world a fortune.

Absence of Justice

This happens when a stakeholder in any union feels marginalized or when he is denied justice. The absence of justice is the fulcrum of most of the world's conflicts and problems.

If you study the cause of most secessionist movement all over the world, you will pick one common motivation for such movement; the absence of fair play or justice in the union where they exist. This feeling is usually left unaddressed until the people fight back often at a great cost.

Conflict results when those feeling cheated, oppressed or denied justice take law into their hands to enforce their right.

The move in search of justice by any group can take different turn depending on who the people involved are, their ideology, their believe system and most importantly the level of frustration being felt as a result of the denial of justice.

Justice The Cheapest Source of Peace In the World

This is actually an understatement. Over seventy percent of the world's problem could have been averted had justice been applied in the beginning of the expression of dissatisfaction of the affected parties in the conflict.

From different ethnic tension, religious tension to even terrorism. Most are fueled by a feeling of injustice in one way or the other. Whether this feeling is justified is a topic for another day. The only way to know this is through dialogue.

Justice is achieved on a table of discussion. The first step to take in other to give justice is to call the grieving parties into a round table discussion. Often times, the object of discord can be negotiated.

Negotiation is never a sign of weakness. Often times, many people out of pride think that negotiation is a sign of weakness which is very untrue.

Through negotiations and compromises, justice may often be served. Wars and fights can hardly solve any problem permanently. It can suppress it for a while but as long as the feeling of injustice still persist in any society, tension and tendency for conflict will persist.

Conclusion

Let us make the world we live in safer and better for all of us. When good men keep quiet, evil fester. Let the leaders of the world review all the ongoing tensions and conflicts in the world and consider intervening where necessary for the sole purpose of advancing justice and fair play as a weapon to counter armed struggle and conflicts.

Justice is a greater weapon than jet fighters. Justice affects the human spirit thus has the potential to calm frayed nerves and the restoration of love and peace.

LET EVERYONE OF US CHAMPION THE COURSE OF JUSTICE

Thank you bro. God bless. May God grant the world peace.

How would you agree that "Justice" in most cases serves for rich people?

You are right in a way. I prefer the word "powerful" than "rich". It is power that keeps the marginalized from getting justice.

But In general, those in power are rich.

Yes most often but sometimes not. Sometimes powerful collaborators assist oppressors ( who may not be very powerful on its own) to continue in denying deserved justice.

But would you agree that those in power are controlled by rich people?

It could be either way too

Thanks man for the informative conversation. Keep It Up!

Great conclusion! Persistence, Dialogue, Understanding and Respect are the key elements to come to conflict resolvement and solutions.
