RE: Ten Years Ago, Today.

Amazing post, the most interesting thing I've read this month!

I think the too heavy pack is a youth thing, when I left home at 18, with a couple of friends, we had ridiculous packs, almost comical to try and walk with. I guess that's part of the journey!

Keep banking those memories, love it.

You could probably get away with writing in smaller chunks, don't burn out!

Hello again! And thank you so much for this, really means a lot to me.

I think all those years of far too heavy packs were hard to shake, even now, if I put on a pack and it feels like I'm not going to struggle, or need constant rest, it makes me worry I've forgotten something!

You're right about the smaller chunks; I certainly intend to post a mixture of long reads, with smaller pieces too and probably some pretty simple photography posts too. I have rather a lot to write and share!

I'm sure you've got better at cutting things out of yer pack, actually you just reminded me of the time I was hitching and picked up by a semi-professional powerlifter who liked hiking, he found the concept of a 'too heavy pack' somewhat amusing.

It's a good place to share stuff this for sure, I look forward to more!
